Every year begins with planting pansies in the horse trough in April. This is a sure sign of spring in Beverly Farms. Next the tulips come up in Coluntino Way. Then the War Memorial is planted, and the fountain is turned on. To prepare for summer and the 4th of July annuals and perennials are planted in Coluntino Way. We have worked together with the sponsors of the traffic islands to weed and plant these areas. We are grateful to Timmy McInnis, Mary Beth McBride, Todd Michaud, and Colleen Malik. Colleen has been an endless source of help and plants. We have been planting at the War Memorial with the generous support of the Michael J Cadigan Post. Last summer we started a pollinator garden in the play area of Dix Park. This summer we planted shrubs along the fence in Dix Park due to a generous donation of plants by Andy and Dyane Cotreau of Northeast Nursery. There are also 15 benches in the village that were purchased by and are maintained by BFIS. Many of the bricks on Coluntino Way have been dedicated to individuals in Beverly Farms as part of a past fund-raiser for Dix Park. Now as part of the fundraiser for restoration of the cemetery fence bricks that are blank can be replaced with personalized bricks through the fundraiser on the Donate Page.
